Hawai’i

Hawaiʻi is a dreamscape for landscape photographers. The Hawaiian Islands really possess 10 zones of the Koppen Climate Classification System.

Oʻahu offers the iconic Waikīkī Beach and the volcanic profile of Diamond Head where one can capture postcard-perfect scenes at sunrise and sunset. Beyond the tourist hotspots, powdery white sands offer a canvas for long-exposure seascapes, and misty green valleys at Kualoa Ranch take you to the filming location of Jurassic Park.

The Big Island is a land of raw contrasts: lava fields, waterfalls, black-sand coves, and towering sea cliffs. At Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, the glowing Kīlauea caldera at night and the Milky Way overhead are unforgettable in long-exposure shots. The Kona coast offers goregeous sunsets along Kukio and Kekua Bay, and black-sand beaches that define “tropical meets volcanic”. Waterfalls near Hilo are lush subjects, especially under overcast skies.
