Melaka, also known as Malacca, is a charming and historically significant tourist destination located on the southwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Renowned for its rich heritage, cultural diversity, and well-preserved colonial architecture, Melaka attracts visitors from around the world seeking a unique blend of history, culture, and modern amenities, and is one of two UNESCO World Heritage Cities in Malaysia – the other being Georgetown, Penang.
On the way to Melaka from Kuala Lumpur, we also stopped at Putrajaya to visit the Pink Mosque – a modern house of worship that is definitely worth the short detour.
