As photography destinations go, while Kuala Lumpur (KL) lacks a distinct character, it offers an area around the KLCC Park and the Petronas Twin Towers that provides a concentration of photography subjects that make great pictures. These spots are close by one another, and easy to access.
I literally took a 36 hour trip (including flight time) to visit KL from Singapore, and felt that it was time well spent.
